Terrorism is the byeproduct of poverty and exploitation exept some rare cases. In most of the cases terrorism is due to neglisence of the Government, attrocities by the police, absence of justice, absence of development, economic imbalance etc. If a dvoted social worker works out a plan for development in the terrorist affected areas and mobilises necessary funds to create work for the unemployed youths,to create health facilities, educational infrastructure, quick justice it is not very difficult to erradicate the terrorisms. My district Jamui is badly affected by Maoist extremism where so many police officials and others have lost their lives and also suffered the loss to Government property. I have worked in a portion of affected area and got the success If you want u can get the details from me or if you have some time you can see the area and also you can study the problem. Majority of the area needs the water for irrigation which generate the employment for the rural farmers by which the agricultural production will be enhanced. And other agro based jobs will also be created but it is not easy to get the financial support to implement the scheme and to restore the peace. In my opinion the Government wants to restore the peace through rifles but it is not possible. We have to go deep into the reasons of the terrorism. My views are not applicable for the border area terrorism. In any way I invite the social workers to sit together and discuss honestly and find out the ways to end the terrorism. VasANT.
